Honeysuckle Hill

We took T to her first visit to the pumpkin patch (Honeysuckle Hill). This will be an every year tradition for us which is why we took a one month old...even though she can't actually sit in the patch for her

She stayed in her sling most of the visit.
Oh yeah...those are scratch marks on her face...they have healed!

This is her main picture for this year...she didn't even manage to open her

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween!

The know it all that actually didn't know anything at all......

Oh yes....I am so talking about I am one of those people who always thinks my way is best. I always have an opinion and no they are not always right. I have said probably more than a dozen times..."My kid won't do that" or "When I have kids I won't do it that way" or "Why on earth would you let your kid sleep in your bed, your starting such a bad habit" HAHAHA!

Can I just say that I didn't have a freakin clue what I was talking You do what you can when you can and the best way you can at that moment. For the record:

My kid sleeps in the bed with me...because I am a better mom when I have had some sleep and the only way I get any sleep is if she gets sleep which is only happening when she is in bed with us. I want to break this habit but man we are struggling.

We are having formula issues so right now we are switching back and forth until her tummy decides that it will process one or the other.

I let my child sleep in her car seat because she will sleep there for a long period of time and that is not in my bed.

I left my hair dryer running this morning because the sound soothed her....long after I had finished drying my hair.

All the things that I said I would do ....yeah those are out the window...I will do what works and pray she turns out

Since she is screaming as we speak and her Daddy just doesn't do the trick for her this week...I gotta run!

1 Month!

Can you believe that Taylor is 1 Month old today? I know I can' if that is because I haven't slept in a month or time really does go by that fast, I am not Now really I have slept, she is doing better and better at night.

Here are a few things you will want to know about Taylor (and that I will want to remember)

*She weighs about 7.75 lbs
*She can roll from her back to her belly but not from her belly to her back
*If she is laying on her belly she will push up on her knees (I know she isn not about to crawl or anything, I just think it is amazing how they already know what to do)
*She grunts like a goat...ALL THE TIME!
*She is getting the front... finally.
*It seems that the hair in the back is gonna stick around for awhile.
*She sleeps in my bed.....I HATE THIS!
*She is a mommas girl...which I am sure will change.
*She eats 4oz. about every 3.5-4 hours
*She is sleeping better (only getting up once) in our bed of course.
*She finally likes her swing...if the blinds are open and she can see outside.
*She is a VERY messy eater (and slow)
*She has had her first cold and did very well according to the Dr.
*She has baby acne....if anyone knows how to get rid of this please let me know...I can't really find anything except to wash her face twice a day with a warm rag and no soap.
*She LOVES to ride in the car...I did too (ok still do)

I think that is about it for now....I really can't believe how much bigger she has gotten....see:

Due Date....

Today was Taylors due date.....can you believe she will be a month old on Thursday? I sure can't! I don't know if it is because the time just goes by so fast or because I have been in a daze for the entire month due to a lack of
She is growing so very fast and changing everyday. (I just can't believe she is mine sometimes) I have got to be better about blogging and taking pictures because if not I am not going to remember anything. Well I take pictures everyday (of her sleeping) but they are with my phone not the extremely really nice camera I I will eventually figure out how to get my pictures from my phone to my blog without re-saving them from facebook.
We took some pictures of T for fall...thought I would share....

Someone was tired of having a picture taken!

She's Here!

So I know this post is a little late and it will probably be really long, but its been a very active couple of weeks so I will try to fill you in..and keep a reminder for myself.

I will cut to the important parts....I stayed on bed rest until she was born..spent one night in the hospital being kidneys were in full blood pressure had a mind of its own and went up and down like a yo yo.....but our goal was 36 weeks....AND WE MADE IT!

Taylor was born on Tuesday Sept. 21, 2010 at 10:28 pm, she was 6bs 2oz. and 18 3/4 inches long. (all of that equals tiny) I did end up having a C-Section. The doctor nor I either one wanted that but after 14 hours of all the drugs they could give me to make me have her and it didn't work we had no choice. I was so scared going into this to have surgery, however once all was said and done it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be.

We were in the hospital until Saturday. When we came home Taylor had a little jaundice and weighed 5lbs 13 1/2 oz. So we had a doctors appointment that Monday to check her levels and we are watching her weight pretty close because she was a preemie and I am trying to breast feed.

Now, she weighs 6lbs and 3oz. and I can't believe she is almost 2 weeks old. It makes me cry to think about how fast they grow, I want her to stay a baby... completely unrealistic I know. She is just the most beautiful little girl I have ever seen. I know I am partial but still. :)

So here are a few pictures:

She was pretty beat up after so many hours of hard contractions.

Going to the doctor.

Hospital Pictures (its a picture of a picture so it does look better)

I LOVE this picture. He doesn't but I do!

Going home from the hospital

She was supossed to be eating...instead sleep was more important.

Some serious lounging!
